History of Visudi Tal

The Bisuri Valley is an elevated lake at a height of about 12,000 feet and is located in the Mandakini Valley near Chopta, Uttarakhand. Due to its remoteness, it is a hidden trek known only to a few trekkers. It can be reached by trekking from its side, the trek being 60 km long and can take up to 5 days to reach it.

But in the end, the hard work of those five days pays off as there are lush green forests, waterfalls, mountains, wildlife and even river courses. The lake is considered a rough trek compared to others, and it is believed that the lake has medicinal values and you can cure skin diseases if you bathe in it. To reach Bisuri Valley, you need to take a trek from the chapter to Bisuri Valley, passing through Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary. The other way to reach Bisuri Valley is to trek from Sari village, passing through Deori Valley and Rohini Buygal. The right to do this trek is from March to December before snowfall in the region chapter.

The trekking route to Deoria Valley offers attractive views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks, with beautiful green forests. Chances of seeing chital and deer are high. The breathtaking perspective of Himalayas like Chaukhamba, Neelkantha, Banderpunch, Yellow tooth, Kedar go, Kalanag satisfies the trekkers and makes them overlook all the agonies and hardships. Overnight camping lets the trekkers make the most of the trekking by providing an enchanting view of deer. Night camping and jungle trekking is more adventurous.

  • Day 3

    Hike from Tali (8,346 ft) to Chitra Vadaar (11,197 ft); 10.5 km, 8 hours.

  • Day 4

    Hike from Chitra Vadaar (11,197 ft) to Bisudi Tal (12,683 ft) via Bisudi Top (13,160 ft) and back to Chitra Vadaar (11,197 ft); 9 km, 12 hours.

  • Day 5

    Trek from Chitra vadaar to Tali; 10.5 km, 7 hours
